By accessing or using NotebookLibrary ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

These terms apply to all users, including students, educators, and any visitors to our platform.

2. Educational Disclaimer

While we strive for accuracy, AI responses may contain errors. You should always verify critical information, especially legal or medical citations, with primary sources such as official codals, jurisprudence databases, and licensed professionals.

Our AI provides study assistance only and should not be relied upon for actual legal advice, medical decisions, or professional practice.

3. User Accounts

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information.
• Maintain the security of your password and account credentials.
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account.
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Users under 18 may use the Service only with parental or guardian supervision.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

• Billing: Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or yearly basis via PayMongo.
• Free Trial: New Pro subscribers receive a 7-day free trial. You won't be charged during the trial period.
• Cancellation: You may cancel at any time. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds: We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee for initial subscriptions. Contact support for refund requests.
• Price Changes: We may adjust pricing with 30 days notice. Existing subscribers are grandfathered at their current rate until renewal.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Share your account credentials with others or allow unauthorized access.
• Use the Service to generate illegal, harmful, or fraudulent content.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the platform.
• Upload malicious files, viruses, or content that infringes on others' rights.
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without permission.
• Circumvent usage limits or abuse the AI chat functionality.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, and AI models, is owned by NotebookLibrary and protected by intellectual property laws.

• Your Content: You retain ownership of study materials you upload. You grant us a license to process them for AI functionality.
• AI Outputs: AI-generated responses are provided for personal study use. You may not redistribute them commercially.
• Feedback: Any suggestions you provide may be used to improve the Service without compensation.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Philippine law:

• NotebookLibrary shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
• We are not responsible for exam results, career outcomes, or decisions made based on AI responses.
• Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the past 12 months.

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

8. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination:

• Your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
• We may delete your account data after 30 days.
• Provisions regarding liability, intellectual property, and governing law survive termination.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Metro Manila, Philippines.
